Description:
An intertidal Marine rocky shore of bedrock that is irregularly flooded by the high tide. |
Conditions: Tide is between mean normal and low. The bedrock closer to the shoreline is flooded only at high storm driven tide levels. The softer sediments over the bedrock platform are easily eroded by the high wave energy leaving the bedrock shoreline. |
Disturbances: The shoreline is heavily developed. Urban structures are highly vulnerable to the high wave energy and cliff erosion. | ||
