Description:
Palustrine Forested Wetland dominated by mixed-height tamarack growing on a floating mat of sphagnum moss. The water regime is saturated year-round.

Conditions: Photo taken late October during peak needle color for tamarack. Taller Tamarack are shown in the background with a mixture of short Tamarack and cottongrass in the foreground.
