Description:
Palustrine intermittently flooded pool. Substrate is mud covered with hyperhaline alkaline salts.

Conditions: Predominantly calcium salts in soils are dissolved in groundwater and seep out at edge of depression; salts are left behind on surface of depression as surface water evaporates.
